Philip Iadevaia (pronounced ‘I-de-vie-yuh’) brings a great deal of experience to Schorr Law. He has a great record of success on matters involving both plaintiffs and defendants. As a sole practitioner for more than 24 years, Mr. Iadevaia litigated various matters and earned his clients millions in verdicts and settlements. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Iadevaia received his Bachelors degree in English from University of California Los Angeles. He later went to Pepperdine University School of Law to receive his law degree. Throughout his time in law school, Mr. Iadevaia participated in appellate brief competition and trial advocacy.
Some of Mr. Iadevaia’s successes include:
- Defending various building contractors successfully against a solar power training and equipment supplier in a breach of contract and fraud matter;
- Winning attorney fees against a special motion to strike, from the former tenant and his attorneys;
- Publishing opinion that reversed a trial court’s order admitting damaging evidence that was obtained through a stale search warrant. People v. Hulland, (2003)110 Cal.App.4th 1646;
When Mr. Iadevaia is not in court, he likes to study the guitar, and remodel his home. He also does volunteer work with Junior Achievement and is regular volunteer at the Riverside and Los Angeles Superior Courts. Mr. Iadevaia is currently attending California State University, Northridge, where he is pursuing his Masters Degree in English.
